The Deed is Done
Before posting about whether or not it made sense to keep this blog going when the hosting and blog contract ends, I had put the renewals in the cart at GoDaddy. This morning I had an email from GoDaddy reminding me that I hadn't completed the transaction, and offering a discount if I would complete it. I immediately took advantage of the offer and renewed everything, saving $133 in the process.
That means the stories about the girls will continue into college. Ping talked with me a few days ago about her plans to spend more time helping me in the office when Cici goes to college, but she will continue her English classes as well. And her dance exercise classes in the evening, though she is disappointed that the belly dancing classes have been discontinued in favor of other types of dance. She also has plans to get us involved in tai chi classes when we are no longer running Cici to and from school every day.
Ping also spends hours every day cultivating her plants around our home and in the large planters that she uses on our patio atrium. We recently had the floor to ceiling glass removed from two sides of the patio atrium and replaced them with double paned energy saving glass with screened windows that open at the bottom of each of the four panes of glass. Ping loves being able to keep those windows raised and having the air flowing freely in the house.
Yes, things are changing, but they just keep getting better, though it is sure going to be tough not having our little girl sleeping in her bed at home every night.

Thank you for doing this and I'm so danged pleased to see ( from Craig ) that I'll be able to read your posts there in China, I forgot to tell you I guess, Ling speaks, reads and writes English , some times better then I do, I've sent her some of your post via email to read, so she has an idea of how things are going, also we are buying ( ? ) a " house " in or near Kun ming and Ling says that she knows that Americans prefer better climates then Bie jing so you all are more then welcome in Kun ming also, I'm not to sure but I think she will let her baba stay in the one in Bei jing oh well, Ping's time seems to be filled, as does Cici's.
Lings daughter goes to UCLA now for her Masters in Electrical Engineering, she has one more semester to go, and she's only 22 years old, it amazes me how fast these children learn.
well it's just great to here you'll keep posting I hope you enjoyed the holidays.

Masters at 22? That is impressive! A double E at that, which puts her in prime position for joining the technology world.

Dang Lee, if you stopped blogging how else am I going to tease CiCi about knowing everything that goes on about school?

Not just Cici, but Ping as well, Andrew. She couldn't figure out how you knew she was out late at night working on her plants.
Speaking of which, she is tired of the neighbors walking their dogs and letting them do their business right in the middle of where she works so hard to keep flowers and plants growing. She asked me what can be done about it, so I have located an electronic device that has a sensor that is activated by activity within its zone of coverage. It emits a sound that humans cannot hear but will drive dogs away. At least that is the hype in the advertisements. I guess we need to give that a try.
