We Have Lift Off Houston
It is wheels up over Hong Kong with arrival estimated to be a little over half an hour early in Newark. I hope that holds true so the girls will have less pressure in clearing customs and immigration and catching their connecting flight to Houston.
I cleaned our home office and kitchen this evening. I cleaned the bedrooms and bathrooms yesterday. I plugged in Ping's laptop so it will be fully charged when she arrives. I have Cici's school books and schedule and other school items organized for her to go through this weekend. I have lots of fresh cherries and a big bowl of sliced fresh fruits that I bought at Costco. I have other favorite foods and drinks for the girls, including some of the little watermelons that Cici loves to eat.
I watered the plants one last time, especially those in pots on the patio/atrium. I emptied all the waste containers. I cleaned the hair out of the drains in Cici's bathtub and laboratory so they drain easily now. I ran water through the pipes to be sure it is running clear through the pipes that have been little used this summer. I washed and dried all of Cici's bedding and bath towels.
Now I just have to make it through the night and tomorrow, but I have a busy day ahead of me so it should pass quickly. Meanwhile the girls have a little more than 15 hours of flight time still ahead before they will land in Newark tomorrow early afternoon. I will be watching their progress on the flight status tracker. My girls are coming home.
