Sweet Sevens
Seventeen years before Cici was born, to the day, my resignation from the Marine Corps was final and I became a full time student. Ping was seven at that time. Seventeen years later, she gave birth to the little girl who was to become our daughter. Today is the seventh day of the month and the girls will arrive at seven p.m. when they return from China next week. The members of our little family have made a combined total of seven trips to China since we first met. There are seven members of our immediate family living in China, and seven living in America.
Then of course I was at the car wash at seven this morning to wash my car on the seventh anniversary since I bought it. That is only the seventh time I have washed it since the girls arrived in America.
Well leaving the sevens behind, Costco had no cherries yesterday so I have gone into the cherry hoarding mode. I still have half of the cherries I bought at Costco a week ago and they will still be good when the girls arrive. I also have the full amount of cherries that I bought at H-Mart last Sunday. I might give H-Mart another shot today to see if they still have some. But they may come back to Costco, which had no blueberries last weekend after having them available for weeks, but they had a ton of them again yesterday. Too bad the girls don't care for them, but I loaded up on them to eat with my dry whole grain cereal with flax.
Not quite time to start counting the hours yet, but not that far away either.
