I "Heart" Houston
When Ping and Cici joined me on the webcam about 1:00 this morning Houston time they were in Zibo City. Their flight out of Guangzhou had been delayed and they arrived in Zibo around 2:30 a.m., so didn't make it to bed until 5:30 a.m. They looked rested and happy, though.
For her first return to Zibo City, I saw that Cici was wearing her favorite Houston t-shirt: the one that has a red heart for the word love, and says I Love Houston. I don't think that was coincidence. She did the same thing when she arrived in Guangzhou. It is her way of showing pride in her new home.
Ping just came on line and opened the webcam. She lifted the cutest little Chinese boy to sit on her lap. He is about a year and a half old, and is the grandson of Ping's cousin. He is too young to understand that he was looking at someone in America, but he was curious. I can hear the family in the house, and it is a happy family.
They are cooking and I can see Ping snacking on food. Now that makes me hungry.
