I found a little love note from Ping under the computer mouse when I got up this morning.  She even drew hearts on it.  she and Cici are very good about leaving these little notes for me.  I could tell that Ping's heart isn't in this trip when I took her to the airport, and given a choice, she would not have gotten on the airplane this morning.

But she is gone and I will have to struggle through the next few weeks alone.  Ping was dreading having to struggle through the long flight alone.  She took a copy of our book to read, and will leave it in China.  I think she wants to show the second edition of the book to our friends and family there.

A hug, a kiss, and an I love you from Ping as she left me standing at the security line in the airport showed how Westernized she has become.  I will be home soon, she said, and she wasn't talking about China.
