In four months it will be time to file and ask that the conditions be removed from Ping's green card.  In order to accomplish that we must prove that we have a bona fide marriage.  I have already copied a stack of papers about half an inch high to be used for that purpose.  I will add other things between now and 10/10/10, which is when we will file.  Ping will receive a 10 year green card when the conditions are removed.  Cici doesn't have to worry about her green card any more, now that she has a life time pass - a Certificate of Citizenship and a U.S. Passport.

The documents make for an interesting little walk through time, but they are nothing compared to the walk through time that appears in our book and on this blog.  Either way, I expect that the interview will be waived, just as it was for the 2 year green card.  We don't even think about it any more, other than remembering that we must comply with the legal requirements for removing conditions.

I detected a spark of happiness in Cici's voice when I spoke with her yesterday.  She had just returned to our house after spending time with some of her former classmates.  She is hoping that the internet connection will be moved today, which will immediately increase the size of her world.  I bet the readers of her blog are anxious to be caught up on her return to China.
