The Final Chase

Cici studied until 2:00 this morning to get ready for her English final exam.  I gave her a cup of water to drink as usual when I woke her this morning.  Then I went to the kitchen and made some coffee for her.  She drank the coffee as we drove to school.  Her exam was over at 10:00, but we had an office full of clients so Ping didn't pick her up until 11:00.  Cici studied here until about 2:00 before Ping could get away to take her home.  By then, Cici's head was on her open algebra book and her eyes were closed.

I hope she was able to sleep this afternoon because I know it will be another marathon night of studying for her.  Tomorrow she has finals in chemistry and algebra.  I am glad she spent a day last weekend studying for the chemistry final exam.  That should help, but I know it will still be a long night for her.

Ping made another new friend this morning.  This is a Chinese lady who lives in Australia now.  She and her husband are new clients of our law firm.  I also introduced Cici to them because they have a son who is a year older than her, and they want him to study here in Houston for his final year of high school.

The Chinese lady is quite attractive, but Ping was still a little flustered when the husband made a comment about what a beautiful wife I have when she served the clients hot tea in one of our conference rooms.  Ping has never understood what a great impression she makes on people when they see her.  That is probably a good trait for a beautiful woman to have.
