Miss you Miss you Miss you

Ping was up in the wee hours of the morning sending an email about how much she missed me being home.  Then she tried an instant message hoping to catch me.  When I walked in the office this afternoon her message was the same, but this time with a question.  Did you miss me as much as I missed you?

We both had great difficulty sleeping with me away from the house.  Ping already left the office so she can take a nap and be rested by the time Cici finishes playing at the spring concert about 9:00 this evening.  I think I may be asleep by that hour, as tired as I feel after getting no sleep last night.

I was at the immigration court early this morning and spent some time talking with the Bailiff.  He mentioned being in WW II and I was shocked.  He was also in the Korean war.  He is 84 years old but I would have guessed him to be twenty years younger.  There was not a hint of age about him, and he is in good physical condition.  He might be a good example of what small town life can do for a person.

Cici let me off the hook last night by sending me an email and telling me that she had no homework.  My bet is that what she really meant was that she had already completed it and didn't need for me to review it.  We are just two and a half weeks from final exams, so I know that some of the teachers are scheduling review times for their classes.  That might also explain Cici's comment about having no homework.

One of Ping's Chinese girlfriends came to the office for lunch today, bringing some Chinese food that she had prepared.  Ping also prepared some Chinese food and we had a rather delicious lunch.  Ahhh, it is great to be back in Houston.
