NO Mobile
It is sad, Papa, that T-Mobile has no signal here, Cici's email read this morning. I tried to call you but there is no signal. So I am sending you this email so you won't worry about me.
That was thoughtful of her. She left yesterday with the band and won't be back until late tonight. Next month we can change carriers, and the only real choice seems to be Verizon. Ping has set one condition on Cici's new cell phone when we change carriers. No internet. Cici didn't argue, but I tried to make her feel better by telling her that a Smart Phone sounds like a good graduation gift. Ping also wants no internet on her cell phone. I don't know that I really need a Smart Phone either, so maybe the question is whether we should have one for the family to use when we need it.
Yesterday a client surprised me by saying that his mother-in-law just finished reading our book. She loved it, he said. Now my wife is going to read it. Then it is my turn. Hmm, it is good to know that people are still reading it. For us, it is like the story happened yesterday, partly because everyone who picks up a copy of the book in the office wants to read it. They keep the story fresh on our minds even though we have written many more chapters since the book was finished.

Lee, I have one of the copies that you and the girls signed, I have read this book maybe 4 or 5 times and I'm reading it again, only this time I am translating it for my sweetie in Shenyang, I have just sent her Chapter 8, Last Farewell, she called and told me through her tears that she could feel how Ping and you and Cici must have felt, she cannot wait for chapter 9.
Your book is alive and well even or especially in China.
by the way, Xu Hui is printing out the translation for her mother to read now.
Thanks again Lee.

Michael, I am happy to hear that you are still reading along with us. I am also happy to hear that our story still resonates with people in China. If only they could see us now. We are such a close family, and we enjoy every day together.
