Not a One Trick Pony

It seems, I told the girls today, that Cici's GGG Grandfather James Kelly Brewster Solomon was not just  a one trick pony.  I received a copy of another patent that he obtained, this time in 1870.  It is for a machine that bends wood without breaking it.

So it was back to school today for Cici after a four day holiday weekend.  The rest of the school only went for half a day.  The band, as often happens, had extra duties.  This time they went to play for the opening ceremonies of a golf tournament after classes were dismissed, so she didn't finish up until around mid-afternoon.  When Ping brought her to the office I was so busy that I could only wave at her from my office and continue talking on the phone.

The girls made their summer travel plans for China yesterday, so they have been busy telling their friends when they will be in town.  Cici told us that she has 8 dinner meetings scheduled with former classmates.  Ping, on the other hand, is more interested in getting her driver's license renewed when she gets to China.  I also need to go get mine renewed, but I can do it just down the street from our office.
