Novel Idea
The State Bar of Texas is having a novel writing contest, open only to licensed members of the bar. The winner will receive an Apple ipad. Here are the rules:
Write a novel in 140 characters or less, including punctuation and spaces. In other words, it is like a tweat on Twitter.
So I wrote a novel and submitted it. But part of the deal is that the State Bar has the exclusive right of first publication of the novel so I can't print it here until the contest is over and a winner is announced. Not that I expect to win or anything, but who really expects to win the lottery? Whether it wins or not, I am rather proud of it.
We had guests from China in our home from Sunday until yesterday, so the three of us are tired. Cici and Ping stayed up very late last night to clean and restore order to our home. Now Cici has a holiday from school tomorrow and Monday.
So far I haven't scheduled any meetings for the holiday weekend. Maybe I will have time to take care of other client matters instead. The girls, in the meantime, can get some rest.
