Drawing a Dragon

A Chinese man who is a client and a friend just finished reading our book.  He took the time to write me a note to say how much he enjoyed reading it.  In the note he told me about a Chinese expression:  when you draw a dragon, the eyes are very important.

I thought I had finished reading the book, he continued.  Then I found the three short chapters at the end of the book.  They were fantastic, he said.  They were the eyes of the dragon for your book.  Don't be offended if a Chinese person doubts the love between you and Ping.  I am a Chinese person and I have met you and Ping.  I know your love is true.

So the eyes have it.  That was a nice way to start the day.

I won't do this unless you say it's alright.
Thanks Lee for the inspiration to keep going in my search for Hui.
