Peach Blossoms and Tea

We were strolling along in Chinatown yesterday, with our destination being the Chinese food market.  Cici spotted a store that we hadn't been in previously and she wanted to go inside to look at the music and movies.  Ping and I browsed up and down the few aisles in the store, just passing the time while we waited for Cici.  I spotted a large vase with Chinese scenes painted on the sides.  A vase as large as one that could hold umbrellas if one were so inclined.

The vase was on a shelf above eye level for Ping, so I pointed to draw her attention to it.  Not just the vase, but what was in the vase.  It contained three of the most beautiful artificial peach tree branches with leaves and blossoms that you could imagine, each about 3-4 feet long.  There was a fourth branch in a smaller vase next to the large one.  This is what we have been looking for, I told Ping.  She agreed about the peach branches and blossoms, but asked where I would put the large vase.  Trust me on this one, I told her.  I know exactly where to put it.

So now we have a new Wow factor in the reception area and in the Tea Room.  A peach blossom branch stands in each of the two tall and fairly narrow vases that we bought a week or so ago and placed in opposite corners of the Tea Room.  The new vase stands in the reception area with two of the peach blossom branches in it.  Now I know why Ping insisted that we find peach branches and blossoms for the office.  They really add something to the ambiance here

Today they are trying to get our old entry door installed at our new offices.  It is one of the final decorative touches that we still need here. Maybe the tea will even taste better when the door is installed.
