Dinner in Shenzhen
I called Ping this morning on her friend's cell phone. They were eating dinner together in Shenzhen. Ping said that she already bought the bus tickets from Shenzhen to Hong Kong for tomorrow morning, with a 6:00 a.m. departure time. That will ensure that she arrives at Hong Kong International Airport in plenty of time for her flight to San Francisco. Her friend will be taking that same flight to come to Houston on September 1, so I expect to meet her friend soon. This is the friend who is traveling to Houston on a visitor's visa.
Ping sounded very excited about coming home, and Cici and I feel the same way. The airline website has a feature where you can track the progress of a flight as it comes across the ocean, so I will have that up on my computer screen tomorrow. Tomorrow night, if things go as scheduled, Ping will have dinner in Houston.
