Feng Shui and Ghosts
Cici came with me to the office today to get mentally prepared for the first day of school. I took her on a tour of the new office space and she didn't like it. The feng shui is bad, she told me, and it looks like there are ghosts in it. It is too dark. I love the offices we have now, Papa. Look, this is my favorite spot, where I like to sleep. Everything we have here is so nice. Mama will never like the new offices, she told me, because of the bad feng shui. Think about all the money that these offices have brought to you, she said. The feng shui is very good here.
You should have seen the offices we have now before Mama and I decorated them, I told her. I believe we can make the new offices look as good or better than the offices we have now. The dark red walls that the previous people had in the new space makes it look dark. There is also a protective film on all the exterior windows. It keeps the West sun from heating up the space, and the color of the film also blocks some of the light from the sun. But with the film on the windows, we can raise the venetian blinds from the floor to the ceiling and let all the light come into the offices.
Assuming that Ping likes the space, they will also put a wide floor to ceiling window on one wall of the reception area so that it will overlook the atrium area inside the building. This will bring in more light and make the reception area feel more spacious. But Cici still isn't buying it. I don't think Mama will like it, she continued to insist. She may be right. Feng shui is important to the girls, and Cici just doesn't have a good feeling about the space. But the double air conditioning system sure is nice.
