Looking Ahead
Sometimes, like today, Ping and I spend time thinking about our future. We have been discussing our plans for our new home in Guangzhou. Ping will have a busy summer supervising the build out and getting Mama moved into the new place. Then she will rent out the older place. Its value is increasing because the subway is almost finished, and our house is on the subway line.
I was interrupted by two clients who came by the office for a meeting. They are on their way to Dubai for three years. He is American. She is Italian. Down the road when they are ready to come back to America we will help them get a green card for her. In the meantime, I told them they need to participate in this blog so they can keep up with what is happening here, and tell us what is happening with them in Dubai.
But back to our new place in Guangzhou. It will be fun to see the pictures that Ping will be sending to Cici and me. Once it is ready, we will have a nice place to live when we are in China. Ping tells me that since we are on the penthouse floor, we can actually have a little garden up on the roof if we so choose. I picture myself sitting out on the balcony writing when the weather is nice, or inside where I can see out the window when the weather is not so nice. The landscaping around the building and in the other buildings nearby is fabulous, so it will be a nice place to spend time walking outside as well.
But first, final exams next week.
