A Nice Touch
Cici isn't feeling well today so she called us and asked to be picked up at school. I had a client meeting so Ping went to pick her up, and was privileged to witness something pretty special. I wish I had been there.
The school brought all the students and teachers to the gymnasium before Ping left with Cici. They asked Ping to wait, and called Cici into the gymnasium. They announced to everyone that Cici has a new name, told them what it is, and told them that she is a new citizen of the United States. Then everyone stood, put their hand over their heart. and sang the National Anthem for Cici.
Poor Cici is sleeping here at the office now, but maybe she will feel better by the end of the day.
