What I Wanted to Say
A Poem for my Beautiful Daughter Angela
What I Wanted to Say
In court this morning I couldn’t speak
You stood beside me, and I felt so weak
Now you might wonder what that was about
There was too much to say so nothing came out
The question was easy, that much is true
But I couldn’t answer, because I love you
I wanted to say you deserve a father
But no words would come, tears were the bother
So how do I tell you how happy I am
Words won’t work, so I’m in a jam
So just watch my actions and you will soon know
How special you are, and I won’t let you go
Papa

Beautiful.
